The Nationwide Children’s Hospital Abigail Wexner Research Institute Building 4 (NCH RB4) is a 7-story post-tension laboratory facility being constructed as an extension to the existing NCH RB3 structure located in downtown Columbus. This new complex is being built to dramatically expand the research capabilities of NCH. D&M is performing the 15,000 cubic yard, $11.5 million structural concrete package for General Contractor Turner Construction Company which includes 25,000 SF of basement level SOG, 189,000 SF of elevated structural decking, and 100,000 SF of Slab on Metal Deck. The concrete deck formwork was self-performed by D&M.
