Plant upgrades for LFUCG in Lexington, KY include an upgrade to the plant’s existing aeration system. 

Working with Project Engineer, Strand Associates, this project included demolishing four 1250HP blowers and replacing them with seven 350HP high efficiency turbo blowers.  We also installed a new carbon steel pipe system to integrate these into the existing air headers, replaced over 350 valves, installed two new odor control systems, a new channel air system, one new submersible pump, and replaced 86,000 SF of aeration diffusers across 20 tanks.
