On January 1, 2026, the water treatment division of Dugan & Meyers began transitioning into a new division of Baker Construction called Baker Water.
The transition is not part of an acquisition; Dugan & Meyers has been part of the Baker Construction family since 2016. Rather, it reflects a strategic step to better align operations and meet the needs of clients and partners nationwide. By bringing together decades of Dugan & Meyers’ water expertise with Baker’s national platform, Baker Water expands the team’s ability to serve clients across the U.S. and support larger, more complex infrastructure projects.
This transition also comes at a time of growing demand for water and wastewater infrastructure, as communities across the country invest in modernizing and expanding essential systems. Baker Water strengthens Baker Construction’s ability to support these efforts on a broader scale.
Current projects in Ohio and Kentucky will remain under Dugan & Meyers through completion as part of the Baker Water business. The remaining Dugan & Meyers operating divisions will continue to operate as they have for more than 90 years in the commercial general contracting and structural concrete business under the Dugan & Meyers name.
The same experienced teams will continue supporting clients and partners, maintaining the relationships and service that have long defined Dugan & Meyers’ approach. New water and wastewater projects will move forward under Baker Construction.
Together, Baker Water builds on a strong foundation of experience while expanding the ability to support critical infrastructure needs nationwide.
