The Scioto Mile Fountain is a renovation project located at Bicentennial Park along the Scioto River in downtown Columbus, Ohio. D&M worked together with AECOM as the Design Builder, for a complete replacement of the interactive fountain. Columbus Downtown Development Corporation (CDDC) selected WET Design as the fountain designer, who has designed many notable projects including the Dubai Fountain at the base of the Burj Khalifa and the Fountains of Bellagio in Las Vegas. This one-of-its-kind fountain features 344 spray nozzles, thousands of lights, and 3 “Super-Shooters” capable of projecting water 120 feet up in the air.

D&M coworkers self-performed the pump setting, equipment, all process piping, and installation of the concrete. The concrete scope was highlighted by significant quantities of architectural concrete including radial walls, benches, and stairs with a sand-blasted finish. D&M is also self-performing the fountain equipment installation.
