As Vice President of Preconstruction, Chris Smith leads Dugan & Meyers’ preconstruction services, overseeing preconstruction planning, budgeting, procurement, and the successful transition of projects into construction. With more than 24 years of industry experience, he has advanced from field operations to executive leadership, bringing expertise across a wide range of work including commercial, industrial, infrastructure, and parking projects.

Chris partners with owners, designers, team members, and trade partners to develop practical, value-driven solutions that balance cost, schedule, constructability, and risk. His collaborative leadership and operational experience help position projects for success from concept through completion. Chris earned a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Northern Kentucky University.
